The seminars are for anyone who wants to:
* understand themselves better.
* build psychological resilience and mental flexibility.
* manage distressing feelings and behaviours.
* learn skills to improve their psychological health.
The skills you will learn are based in the science of cognitive-behavioural therapy and will help you master strategies to manage your mental health.

​Seminars run for ten weeks with one 60-minute seminar every week. There are five different topics and you can come to as many as you can. You can skip sessions when study gets busy.​
​
The 10-week group-based course is run through Zoom. The interactive seminars are offered on several different times and days.

Module A: You Feel the Way You Think

How to identify activating events (emotional triggers) and recognise how automatic thoughts contribute to the way you feel

Module D: Planning to Succeed
D1: Getting on top of problems before they get you down
How to recognise stressors and use strategies to solve interpersonal and emotional problems

Meet our facilitators

Alisa Mitlash
Alisa is a clinical psychology trainee and PhD candidate. She is interested in disordered eating, and ways to provide accessible interventions.

Tom Corlet
Tom studies clinical psychology at the University of Otago and also does PhD research looking at child development.

Jess Ryan
Jess studies clinical psychology at the University of Otago. Her Honours research looked at whether parenting stress contributes to children's ADHD symptoms.

Florencia Restivo
Florencia is a clinical psychology trainee and PhD candidate. She has a special interest in mental health and wellbeing in the context of intimate relationships.
